Happy to Be DONE!

Location: Louisville, KY (High 35, Low 29)

After almost exactly four months here in Kentucky, we are SO happy tonight to be able to say that we have finished our commitment for our second peak season at Amazon. What a relief. It hasn’t completely sunk in yet, so it’s so nice to sit here watching some tv and reminding ourselves that we are free!

So…the last week was good. We counted down each day on our way to the finish line. I had some additional excitement two days ago when I found out that my name was pulled in a drawing for a $500 gift card. That was SO awesome. I’m not sure how long it will take to get it, but when we do, I am sure that we will be able to put it to some good use.

We were released this afternoon at 3:30 pm, and came home to get ourselves somewhat packed up. We don’t have too much to put away since we’ve been doing pretty much nothing but working since we arrived here at the end of November. We are pulling out of here in the morning and heading to Harvest Moon RV Park in Adairsville, which is the same place we stayed last year for the holidays.

We are looking forward to a change of scenery.

  1. We're all ready to go too. I got what stuff we did have out put away, and George got the outside all finished except the electric. We plan on being on the road by 10 am, and staying at a Walmart in Jackson, TN tomorrow night. Freedom feels good! Safe travels to you guys...

  7. I remember that day and the feeling that I was FREE again. Ft. Pickens was our intended destination. Second year, hard to get the head around that, time flies.
    Merry Christmas
